Candidates can download their admit card / hall ticket online who has applied for GATE-2016 through GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System). It is noted by candidates that GATE-2016 Admit Card is only available ONLINE, it will not be sent by post in any case.

GATE-2016 Admit cards ONLY be downloaded from official website of GATE through GOAPS from 17th Dec 2015. It is compulsory for appearing candidates to bring the printed copy of admit card and at least one original photo ID proof to the examination center. On demanded by exam official candidate must show his/her print copy of Admit card and Photo ID proof. Valid ID proofs which are acceptable are: Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter Card, Aadhar Card, College ID card, Employee ID Card or affidavit containing candidate's photo, signature, date of birth and residential address.

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT conducts the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). This year IIT Kanpur will conduct the GATE-2016. GATE is an All India examination in which the comprehensive understanding of engineering candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science are being tested. As per the performance of candidate in the GATE examination GATE score is generated. The GATE score of a candidate reflects a relative performance level in a particular subject in the examination across several years. GATE score is used for admissions to post-graduate programs (e.g., M. E., M. Tech, direct Ph.D.) in centrally funded Indian institutes of higher education (i.e., institutes which are provided with financial assistance by MHRD and other Government agencies). The score is also used by some Public and Private Sector Undertakings for employment processes. Direct recruitment to Group A level posts i.e., Senior Field Office (SFO Tele), Senior Research Officer (SRO) (Crypto) and SRO(S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat is now being done on the basis of GATE scores.

3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth as required.
4. Click on SUBMIT button.
5. Your GATE-2016 Admit Card will be generated and appear on screen.
6. Download and take print out of the Admit Card of GATE 2016.
