JEE MAIN 2016 : Important Dates of JEE (MAIN) 2016 exam held on 3rd and 9th April 2016

JEE Main 2016 exam will be held on 3rd April 2016 (OFFLINE) and 9th April 2016 (ONLINE). :- Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is a national level examination which is conducted by JEE Apex Board for admission in UG engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded Technical Institutes of India. JEE (Main) 2016 exam qualified candidate is only allowed to take part in the admission process of NITs, IIITs and other Centrally funded institutes for UG Engineering Programmes.

The JEE Main 2016 exam is also the compulsory eligibility test for JEE (Advance) 2016 exam to take admission in IITs. That means candidates who qualify the JEE (Main) 2016 exam are only eligible for JEE (Advance) 2016 exam.

JEE (Main) 2016 merit or rank list will be prepared based on combination of 40% weightage to Class 12th marks or equivalent exam and 60% weightage to marks obtained in JEE (Main) 2016 exam. Aspirants can apply for JEE Main 2016 only through ONLINE from JEE Main official website. Aspirants are requested carefully read the brochure for eligibility in JEE (MAIN) and JEE (ADVANCE) before applying.

JEE Main 2016 is divided in TWO papers:
a. PAPER-1 (B.E. / B.Tech.)
b. PAPER-2 (B.Arch. / B.Planning)
